This support page applies to both the iPhone / iPad and Mac versions of YJing. Both versions share the same subscription entitlements through App Store Universal Purchase. Most features are available on both platforms; a few are platform-specific (for example, Wi-Fi file transfer and shake gestures are iOS only, while independent folder-level PINs and Touch ID unlock are Mac only).
If you have any questions, suggestions, or feedback while using YJing, please feel free to reach out:
Please mention your device type (iPhone / iPad / Mac) and OS version so we can diagnose faster. We typically respond within 1–3 business days.
Q: I forgot my PIN / gesture password. What should I do?
For privacy reasons, passwords are stored locally only and cannot be recovered. On the Mac version, you can reset both the app PIN and folder PINs using Touch ID or your system login password. On the iOS version, if you have forgotten it, please uninstall and reinstall the app (note: this will erase in-app data).
Q: Wi-Fi web management won't connect. (iOS only)
Make sure your iPhone / iPad and computer are on the same Wi-Fi network. Open "WiFi Management" in the app and visit the address shown on screen. The Mac version does not provide Wi-Fi web management; you can simply drag files into the window from Finder, use the Import button, or open the Photos picker.
Q: How do I import files on the Mac version?
On Mac, you can drag files or folders directly from Finder into the YJing window, use the Import button in the toolbar, or import from your system Photos library via the Photos picker.
Q: Will importing from the system Photos library delete the originals?
No. Import only copies files into YJing's private space. Originals in the system Photos library or source folder remain untouched.
Q: How do I restore my Pro subscription? Is it shared between iPhone and Mac?
Yes. The iOS and Mac versions share a single subscription entitlement through App Store Universal Purchase, as long as you use the same Apple ID in the App Store. If your entitlement is not reflected correctly, go to Settings → Restore Purchases. If the issue persists, please contact us by email.
Q: What is the folder-level PIN on Mac?
The Mac version supports setting an independent lock PIN on individual folders, separate from the PIN that protects the whole app. You can choose to lock only certain sensitive folders; opening them then requires a separate unlock step, which is useful when sharing a Mac with others.
All YJing data is stored locally on your device (iPhone / iPad / Mac sandbox). We do not collect, upload, or share your photos, videos, or files. For details, see the Privacy Policy.
