NovaPadGo Privacy Policy

This policy explains how NovaPadGo (the “App”) handles information. NovaPadGo is a macOS launcher/organization tool. We process data on device and avoid collecting unnecessary information.

What We Do Not Collect

No access to contacts, photos, calendars, emails, or similar personal content.
No collection of app usage habits, search history, or clipboard contents.
No cross‑app / cross‑site tracking and no personalized advertising.
No selling or renting of user data.

On‑Device Processing & Storage

To provide launcher, grid layout, and alias features, the App stores necessary data locally on your Mac:

Application Support/NovaPad/apps.json: grid layout & pagination.
Application Support/NovaPad/aliases.json: optional search aliases (if you create/import them).
Application Support/NovaPad/bookmarks.plist: security‑scoped bookmarks for user‑granted folders needed by certain file operations.

These files remain on your device. We do not upload them to our servers.

Permissions & Access

Files & Folders: the App requests access when an operation needs permission (e.g., accessing a folder). The resulting bookmark is stored locally.
Network: used only for essential checks (e.g., version or service availability), not for behavioral tracking.

Data Retention & Deletion

We do not maintain server‑side personally identifiable data. Local data is under your control; uninstalling the App or deleting local files removes it.

Your Rights

You can adjust local behavior in Preferences (e.g., grid columns, appearance).

Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for general users and not directed to children under 13 (or a higher age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy and will post updates here with the effective date. Material changes may be highlighted in release notes.
